Deliciously Creamy Quinoa Porridge with Berries

How to make deliciously creamy quinoa

Ingredient List:
1. 2 tbsp Greek Yogurt
2. ½ cup Quinoa
3. 1 ½ cup Almond Milk
4. 2 drops of Vanilla Extract
5. Dates (to taste)

Ingredients for topping:
1. Blueberries
2. Chia Seeds
3. Red Berries
4. Banana

Method:
In a saucepan add your quinoa with the almond milk. Boil it, then reduce the heat and let it simmer and cook while stirring it often until cooked which would take around 12 minutes. While cooking add chopped dates and stir to combine them. Once cooled you can go ahead and add vanilla extract to your yoghurt before pouring it on top of porridge. Serve the porridge with blueberries, chia seeds, red berries, and bananas.

Chia Seeds:
Deliver a great amount of nutrients with very few calories. They are loaded with fiber, protein, omega-3 fatty acids and various micronutrients. They have high levels of anti-oxidants which fight the production of free radicals that can damage cell molecules and contribute to aging and diseases such as cancer. Not only this but they also contain high levels of Omega-3 Fatty Acids, which is needed by our bodies, and can help us reduce heart issues as well. Blueberries:
Blueberries have high levels of antioxidants which strengthen and protect the body. They regulate cholesterol levels and lowers blood pressure. In an eight-week study, people who had had a high risk of heart disease noted a 4–6% reduction in blood pressure after consuming 2 ounces (50 grams) of blueberries per day. These berries also prevents heart diseases, maintain brain functions and improves memory. If you are struggling with hair growth they are also a good boost for the hair.

Quinoa:
Quinoa contains thousands of trace elements that are extremely healthy. It is very rich in fiber and it is gluten free. Full of antioxidants, it is great for skin health and great for lowering blood pressure. If your digestive system is a bit sluggish quimoa is also a great benefit to unclog it.
